Meet Dr. Amy
At the heart of every relationship is a story — one shaped by family patterns, unspoken expectations, and deeply rooted beliefs. As a marriage and family therapist, I help individuals, couples, and families uncover these dynamics with gentle curiosity and insight. By increasing awareness of how these patterns influence your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships, you can begin to heal what feels broken and create space for new, healthier ways of connecting.
Whether you’re seeking to strengthen your marriage, navigate family challenges, or simply deepen your understanding of yourself, I offer a safe and faith-centered space where spiritual, emotional, and relational growth can flourish. My approach is rooted in the belief that healing relationships — with yourself and with others — is possible through intentional reflection, compassionate guidance, and practical tools that lead to lasting change.
You were never meant to carry the weight of anxiety, depression or the pain of strained relationships alone. Together, we’ll explore, heal, and build stronger connections that bring peace and purpose to your life.
Dr. Amy received her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), and her Doctoral Degree (PhD) in Couple and Family Therapy, and she is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, who specializes in empowering her clients to achieve freedom from fear-based, limiting beliefs and emotional patterns. Dr. Amy empowers her clients to take their personal growth to the next level, offering them tools to understand, and improve their emotional well-being and the relationships with themselves and others. She began her clinical practice working in various community mental health settings, providing outpatient psychotherapy, in-home therapy, clinical case management, and psychotherapy with children in residential placements.
Dr. Amy's clinical research, and first love, is working with children in the foster care system. She worked extensively with teens and children placed in different therapeutic foster home settings such as group homes, shelter bed placements, and long term foster care. This work predominantly focused on coping with attachment disruption, ambiguous loss, and healing from parental and systemic abuse and neglect.
Dr. Amy is currently in private practice, specializing in working with people who are struggling in relationships with themselves and others, who want to increase their self-awareness and break unhealthy patterns of relating with self and loved ones.
In 2025, Dr. Amy began a new adventure with She Thrives, a nonprofit startup that offers resources to single mothers in Atlantic County, NJ. Here, she will serve as the coordinator of clinical services in addition to providing information, inspiration and support on the upcoming Podcast with the She Thrives team, "Asking For a Friend", launching soon!
